Box Score ATLANTA (October 10, 2016) – Kevin Lacey (Tuskegee) was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Offensive Player of the Week and David Smith (Morehouse) was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.
 
Raul Martinez (Lane) received the Special Teams Player of the Week honor and Austin Stephens (Miles) was tabbed Newcomer of the Week. 

Martinez, a 6'3 freshman kicker from Atlanta, Ga., was responsible for 13 of 19 points for Lane in a 19-18 homecoming win over Benedict. He put the Dragons back ahead with the go-ahead field goal from 35 yards late in the fourth quarter to wrap the victory up for the Dragons. Martinez added five kickoffs for 296 yards and one touchback.
