The Dragons scored on a safety and a Ryan Bullock field goal in the first quarter to jump out to a good start. In the second quarter, the Dragons crossed into the end zone twice as Alan Ferguson scored from 1 yard out, and threw a 19-yard touchdown for the other score. William Golston was on the receiving end of the 19-yard touchdown in the second quarter to put the Dragons up 18-0 before Ryan Bullock added the extra points to complete the halftime lead.
The Dragons defense created seven turnovers during the game to add to their number one conference rating in turnover margin. Corey Jones led the defensive unit with 15 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. This was Jones' fourth consecutive week with double digit tackles as he added to his conference-leading 107 tackles.
