Four Dragons named preseason All-Conference

ATLANTA, GA. – The Lane College football program has placed four players on the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) preseason All-Conference Team.

Returning offensive star Anthony Evelyn was named First Team at two different positions, wide receiver and kick returner.
 
Evelyn finished the 2019 campaign with 1,643 all-purpose yards and 10 total touchdowns.
 
Tarik McKenzie was named Second Team quarterback after a breakout redshirt-freshman season. McKenzie completed 111-of-193 for 1,551 yards and 16 touchdowns with only two interceptions.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, Jeffrey Johnson and Brayce McKinzie earned Second Team honors at linebacker.
 
Johnson totaled 51 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks.
 
McKinzie, the Dragons leading returning tackler, finished 2019 with 75 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 6.0 sacks while also tallying two forced fumbles and a safety.
