Lady Dragons Win Two of Three on the Road.

Box Score        With one week of regular season left the Lady Dragons would end the season with a six day road trip through Alabama. Coming home after winning two-out-of-three games on the road trip might be the boost needed headed into the conference tournament. The journey to the tourney started out with a dominating (60-49) victory over the Lady Tigers from Tuskegee University.

     After a slow first half the Lady Dragons took a 27-17 lead going into halftime. The second half was more of the same slow paced; however the Lady Dragons outscored the Lady Tigers 33-32 in the second half. Connecting on 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the free-throw area for the game.
    
      Leading the Lady Dragons on the night Tiffany Martin with 19 points, Chloe Roberts dropped in 16 and Cellonda Crawford added 13 points while collecting 13 boards. The Lady Dragons next stop will be Birmingham, AL as they face the lady Golden Bears of Miles College.
 
    The Lady Dragons continued the domination as they finished off a season sweep of the Lady Golden Bears (77-57). The Lady Dragons had a 38-30 halftime lead and held the Lady Golden Bears to only 27 second half points.  The Lady Dragons continued to hold a hot hand at the free throw line connecting for 60% in the game.
Tiffany Martin was the leading scorer for the Lady Dragons connecting on 6-of-12 from the parking lot for a total of 25 points. Chloe Roberts dropped in 21 points and Crystal Rayford added another double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. The final regular season game was a trip further in Alabama to Mobile. The Lady Dragons face the Lady Badgers from Spring Hill College.

    Playing the third road game in six days the Lady Dragons fell just a little short in the final regular season game 87-73.
The upbeat pace of the game found the Lady Dragons trailing 40-36 at halftime. The second half allowed the Lady Badgers to extend their lead by outscoring the Lady Dragons 47-37 in the second half. For the third game in a row the Lady Dragons had good results from the free-throw line connecting on 15-of-23 (65.2%)
Tiffany Martin finished off the 3-games as the leading scorer with 24 points. Chloe Roberts added 22 points and Crystal Rayford collected yet another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
    The Lady Dragons start the SIAC Championship run playing on Monday in the first game of the tournament. The Lady Dragons are seeded 4th from the Western Division and will face the #5 seed Claflin Lady Panthers in the first game. Tip-off is scheduled at 1:00 PM in Birmingham, Al at the Bill Harris Arena.
