Darrell Moore scored the first run off of an RBI single by Junior biology major
Kent Fuller. The Dragons rallied back in the top of the 7
th after loading the bases with only one out.
Kent Fuller and Senior
DeQuavious Kirksey both walked before Sophomore
Dante Clay hit a hard ground ball towards third base causing the third baseman to commit an error. All bases were loaded when Junior physical education major, Reko Flowers hit a double which brought two of his teammates home. The Dragons were just down by one run (6-7).
Â
The Bulldogs ended the first game by making a double play. The final score of the first series was 7-6, recording the Dragons first defeat of the season. Coach Henson told his players "to stay focused". He instructed the Dragons"to take every game by game and pitch by pitch".
