Lady Dragons Fall to Lady Golden Bears

The Lady Dragons hosted the Lady Golden Bears from Miles College at J. F. Lane Gymnasium. In the first few minutes of the game, the Lady Bears capitalized on missed shots by the Lady Dragons resulting in a quick 11-0 lead. Jordan Cain opened up the scoring for the Lady Dragons, connecting on one of two free throws at the 13:44 mark. The momentum did not last long as the Lady Bears built a 17-point lead going into halftime leading 30-13.

The second half wasn't as fast paced as the Lady Bears outscored the lady Dragons 27-23 in the second half for a 57-36 final score. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by Javonne Brown with 13 points. For the Lady Dragons, Ciara Ingram led the team with 8 points, while Crystal Rayford collected 9 rebounds.

The Lady Dragons will travel to Memphis, TN to take on conference foe LeMoyne-Owen Lady Magicians on Saturday February 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM at the gymnasium on the LeMoyne-Owen campus.
