 Game One: Lane College vs Mississippi College
The Lady Dragons basketball team opened up the FCA & Zaxby's Tip-Off Classic with a 91-56 loss to Mississippi College on Friday night at A.E. Wood Coliseum. The Lady Choctaws (3-0) out rebounded the Lady Dragons (0-2) by a 62-39 margin, which led to several second-chance points. Chloe Roberts (FR, Scotts Hill, Tenn.) led the Lady Dragons with 18 points, going 10-of-12 from the free throw line, while Seqoya Cox had 12 points. As a team, the Lady Dragons connected on 64.9% from the free throw line by going 24-of-37 in the second half.

For the Lady Choctaws, Kristen Sampson led all scorers with 25 points, going 11-of-18 from the field and 3-of-6 from the 3-point line. Ann Marie Harris collected a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds, including 15 on the defensive end.

Game Two: Lane College Vs Lindenwood University
The Lady Dragons (0-3) were out rebounded for a second straight night (48-33) which allowed the Lady Lions (4-0) to open up a 21-point lead in the first half and collect the 82-65 victory over the Lady Dragons.
 Niya Royal connected on a short jumper at the 15:30 mark of the first half to give the Lady Dragons a 6-5 lead. Over the next three minutes, the Lady Lions went on a seven-point run before the Lady Dragons would score again. Chloe Roberts drove the lane to connect on a lay-up basket to close the Lady Lions lead 12-8. The Lady Lions outscored the Lady Dragons the remainder of the first half 30-16 to go to halftime leading 42-24. The Lady Dragons shot 35.5% in the first half connecting on 11-of-31 shots.

The second half saw the Lady Dragons get back into the game, cutting the deficit to six points with just over 14 minutes to play. But that was as close as the Lady Dragons would get before the Lady Lions put together a 15-4 run to regain control. The Lady Dragons connected on 16-of-34 shots in the second half for 47.1% and 8-of-17 shots from the free throw line (47.1%).
Chloe Roberts led the Lady Dragons in scoring with 18 points, while Crystal Rayford collected her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Kassidy Gengenbacher led the Lady Lions scoring with 16 points.

The Lady Dragons return to action on Wednesday, November 26 for the first home game of the season. The Lady Buccaneers from Christian Brothers University will travel to J F Lane Gymnasium for the 6 PM scheduled Tip-off. Everyone is invited to come out and support the Lady Dragons.
