Box Score The J. F. Lane Gymnasium was the setting for the SIAC Basketball contest between the Lady Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University and the Lady Dragons of Lane College. The hard fought contest did not go the Lady Dragons way as they fell 71-60.

Sharon Morgan connected on a long-range three-pointer to open the game for the Lady Dragons with just seconds off the clock. The Lady Golden Tigers answered with a trey of their own from Alannah Vincent for an early 3-3 tie game. The Lady Golden Tigers went on a 28-10 run over the course of the next thirteen minutes to take a 38-25 half-time lead.

In the second half, the Lady Dragons connected on 15 of 32 (47%) shots to outscore the Lady Golden Tigers 35-33, but were unable to overcome the first-half lead built by the Lady Golden Tigers. The Lady Dragons were led in scoring by Sharon Morgan with 19 points, while Tiffany Martin added 13, and Crystal Rayford collected 11 points and nine rebounds. Marie McAbee was the leading scorer for the Lady Golden Tigers with 19 points.

The Lady Dragons host the Lady Bulldogs from Fisk University for the next basketball action on January 23. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Oman Arena.
