JACKSON, Tenn. - Lane College softball head coach Joel Worthington announced the addition of 10 new Dragons since National Signing Day.
Worthington described the 2021 class as "foundational." He was right as the Dragons led the nation in batting average and runs scored on their way to breaking 14 school records including most wins in a season. He looks for the 2022 class to take the program to the next level.
"Our 2022 class has it all. These 10 student-athletes bring a high level of speed, power, athleticism, and elite pitching and are also incredibly passionate about taking Lane softball to the next level," said Worthington.
The next level for Worthington? Competing for a conference championship.
"This class not only elevates our play on the field they also fit perfectly into the culture that we have established for Lane softball. We feel the addition of these 10 players will take us from good to great and put us in a position to compete for the SIAC championship"
