The Lady Dragons finished off the regular season conference schedule with a three game sweep over the Lady Tigers from Tuskegee University. The Lady Dragons still have three non-conference games left to play as they prepare for the SIAC championship tournament. The Championship will be played in Augusta, GA on May 4-6.

Break it down: Game 1
Mice'la Ross tossed a one hit shutout in game one of the series to open the weekend of action. An infield single was all that the Lady Tigers could find a spot for as the Lady Dragons defense took care of the rest of the hitters. The Lady Dragons scored a single run in the second inning, followed by a three-run inning in the 3
rd, and they added 4 more in the top of the 5
th inning to reach the mercy rule limit.

The Lady Dragons pounded out 14 hits in game one with six players collecting multiple hits. Leading the attack was
Alonna Moore with a perfect 3 for 3. Others collecting hits were

Game 2
The Lady Tigers scored single runs in the first and second inning to take an early 2-0 lead over the Lady Dragons. In the fourth inning the Lady Dragons came from behind to score three runs to take the lead. They added 3 more runs in the 5
th inning for a 6-2 lead before the Lady Tigers added a single run on a solo homerun for a 6-3 score after five innings. The Lady Dragons added three more runs in the 6
th inning for the final score of 9-3.
Ericka Webster pitched the first five innings as
Brittany McElvain pitched two shutout innings in relief for the Lady Dragons.
By the numbers:
Desiray Sturgeon and
Kalyn Malveaux collected two-hits each while
Alonna Moore added to her team leading doubles (7) while driving in two runs. Malveaux also collected 2 RBI's and Sturgeon had three stolen bases in the game.
Game 3
In the final game of the series the Lady Dragons jumped out to a 4-0 lead scoring 3 runs in the first inning and one in the second inning. The Lady Tigers plated a run in the bottom of the second for a 4-1 lead for the Lady Dragons. In the top of the fourth inning the Lady Dragons added to the lead scoring two runs for a 6-1 lead. The Lady Tigers scored their second run in the bottom of the inning for a 6-2 lead after four innings. The Lady Dragons added four runs in the top of the sixth inning highlighted by
Shoundedra Mack's bases loaded triple down the right field line scoring all the runners for a 10-2 final score.
By the numbers:
Desiray Sturgeon led the 10-hit attack for the Lady Dragons collecting 3 hits in five at bats. She also swiped six bases giving her nine stolen bases for the series.
Ericka Webster collected two hits and an RBI, while
Chloe Roberts added a double and two hits in the contest.
Shoundedra Mack drove in 3 runs with her triple for the final runs of the weekend.
Mice'la Ross collected her second win of the series from the pitching circle.
