Box Score Dragons Stay Hot in Conference Play

The Dragons extended their winning streak to seven games with a 85-74 victory over the Marauders from Central State University. The Dragons came out victorious on a recent trip to Wilberforce, Ohio just a week earlier with a 80-73 victory to sweep the season series from the Marauders. The Dragons are now 6-0 in division play.

Within a minute and fifteen seconds Bridgeman had played string music on three more treys for a 53-32 lead for the Dragons. The Marauders connected on critical free throws to close the gap, but ran out of time as the Dragons finished off the victory.
By the Numbers: The Dragons are normally winning the battle of the boards in past games but the Marauders hauled in 27 rebounds to tie the rebound battle with the Dragons. The Marauders scored 18 points inside the paint, while adding 21 points off turnovers. They connected on 24 of 52 (46.2%) from the field. From the free throw the Marauders connected on 18 of 24 (75%) free throws and added 8 of 25 (32%) from three point area. Leading the Marauders in scoring was Markese McGuire with 17 points as Jeremy Brown dropped in 12 points. Robert Konteh added 11 points in the effort. The Dragons collected 34 points down low.
