ATLANTA, Ga. — Lane College's Jarrell Love was named the SIAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week after posting back-to-back double-double performances for the Dragons.

Love averaged 21.5 points and 11.0 rebounds over two games, showcasing efficiency and consistency in the paint. He scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting while grabbing 12 rebounds against Clark Atlanta, adding two assists, two steals, and a block. He followed with a dominant 25-point, 10-rebound outing in a win over Morehouse, shooting 9-of-11 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line while adding four assists.
