Halftime deficit too much to overcome for Dragons

Box Score WILBERFORCE, Ohio (November 30, 2017) - Junior forward Kendarius Ash recorded his fourth-straight double-double Thursday night but it was not enough as a 11-point deficit going into the final 20 minutes could not be overcome as Lane College fell to host Central State University, 70-58.

After the fist half woes from the field, the Dragons came out of the locker room hot, eventually chipping away at the lead, at one point late in the game, cutting the Marauders' lead to six points.

But every run from Lane was met by Central State as they were able to pull away end the end thanks to the charity stripe.

Ash finished with a team-leading 13 points and 13 rebounds with 11 of those points coming in the second half. Sophomore forward Brandon Dansoh picked up his second double-digit performance of the season, dropping in 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Dragons are back in action Saturday as they take on Kentucky State University in Frankfurt, Ky. Tip off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
