Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. (November 16, 2017) - The Lady Dragons' new high pressure defense forced 13 turnovers thanks to nine steals but it was not enough as they fell to the visiting Christian Brothers University, 62-55, in front of a raucous home crowd Thursday night at JF Lane Gymnasium in Jackson.
After being outscored 22-14 in the second quarter, Lane College kept pace with the Lady Buccaneers in the second half but weren't able to bridge the gap. Every run from the Lady Dragons was matched by CBU in the second half, giving the Lady Bucs the win.
Junior forward LaKeiya Lane led the Lady Dragons with 19 points followed by 10 points from Alisha Fortenberry. Antrice McCoy and Anissa May chipped in nine points apiece. Kristy Armwood pulled down eight rebounds for the Lady Dragons.
The Lane College women are back in action this Saturday when they take on Lindsey Wilson. Tipoff from JF Lane Gymnasium is scheduled for 2 p.m.
