How it happened:
1st Half: Â The Maroon Tigers connected on a three-pointer by Duby Maduegbunam to start the game. The Dragons would go on a 25-6 run after that for a 16 point lead (25-9) at the 9:40 mark of the half. That would be the biggest lead of the half for the Dragons as they led 42-32 at the half.
2nd Half: The Dragons outscore the Tigers 55-52 in the second half to finish off the victory. With 8:23 showing on the clock the Dragons had built a 21 point advantage leading 74-51. The Tigers wasn't finish just yet as they mounted a comeback effort cutting the lead to seven points (86-79) with 2:07 left to play. That would be as close as they would get as the Dragons connected on free throws at the end of the game for the victory.

By The Numbers:
           The Dragons collected 40 rebounds which led to 24 second chance points for the game. They also connected on 33of 65 shots (50.8%) while adding 27 points from the free-throw line (27-36/75%). The Tigers connected on 31 of 68 shots (45.6%), and went 13 of 21 (61.9%) from the free throw. Leading the tigers in scoring was Duby Maduegbunam with 26 points. The dragons placed six players in double digits in scoring.
Devontay Clark led the scoring attack with 18 points as
Maurice Alexander collected 16 points.
Jalen Lewis dropped in 14 points while
Tevyn Roberts and
Terrance Bridgeman each added 12 points.
Kendarius Ash collected another conference leading double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Back in Action:
           The Dragons will be back in conference action on January 5 with a trip to Albany Georgia to face the Golden Rams of Albany State
. Â They will also play the Wildcats from Fort Valley State University on January 7.
