Dragons Finish a Big Week in Conference Play

            Fresh off a conference victory on Monday night against the Golden Bears from Miles College, the Dragons defeated the Badgers from Spring Hill College.

How It Happened:
            1st Half: The Badgers put up the first four points of the game for the early lead. A jumper by Josh Smith-Levi tied the game 12-12 at the 12:25 mark. The Badgers would go on a 8-7 run in the next five minutes for a 20-19 lead with 7:15 on the clock. The Dragons finished off the half with a 11-8 run for a 31-27 half time lead.

            2nd Half: The Dragons added to their lead building a twelve point advantage (51-39) with 7:51 left to play. The Badgers went on a 14-6 run in just over five minutes to close the gap (57-53) with 2:37 to play. With thirty seconds left the Dragons lead was still four points 59-55 before closing out the game for the victory.

By The Numbers: The Dragons won the battle of the boards 30-23 leading to fourteen points on second chance opportunities. The Badgers connected on 21 of 47 shots (44.7%) while the Dragons connected on 21 of 51 (41.2%) from the field. The Badgers dropped in 9 of 11 (81.8%) from the free throw line, compared to the Dragons 18 of 23 (78.3%). Leading the scoring for the Badgers was Greysn Rogers with twelve points. For the Dragons Terrance Bridgeman led all scoring with 23 points. Kendarius Ash dropped in 9 points and collected 10 rebounds.

Back in Action: The Dragons take to the road for more conference games as they take on the Thorobreds from Kentucky State University on Monday before going to Wilberforce, Ohio for a match up with the Marauders from Central State University on Wednesday.
