Box Score Lady Dragons Pick-Up 1st Conference Win

The Lady Dragons traveled to Columbia, SC to face the Lady Tigers of Benedict College on Monday night. After opening the conference portion of their schedule on Saturday with a loss to the Lady Panthers from Claflin University, they rebounded with a (69-66) victory over the Lady Tigers of Benedict College.
Breaking it Down: The Lady Dragons outscored the Lady Tigers in the first two quarters. In the first half the Lady Dragons connected on 7 of 13 (53.8%) three pointers to take a 38-28 lead into halftime. In the third quarter the Lady Dragons added to their lead for a 54-39 score at the end of the quarter. In the final quarter the Lady Tigers mounted a comeback effort with a run of 27-12 to tie the game 66-66 with five seconds left in regulation.
Tashara Jones connected with a long range three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Lady Dragons the 69-66 victory.
