Box Score Lady Dragons Defeats the Lady Magicians

           Coming off their first victory of the season, the Lady Dragons returned to action with a dominating victory over the Lady Magicians 64-43.  The Lady Dragons relied on tough defense and timely scoring once again to the delight of over two-hundred fans at J. F. Lane Gymnasium.    The defense for the Lady Dragons created 20 turnovers resulting in 19 points in the victory over the Lady Magicians. The Lady Dragons exploded on offense with four players collecting double-digit points. Tashara Jones led the scoring with 13 points, while Valerie Leland, Angela Hardy, and Kyana Johnson all added 12 points each for the victory. Deizarae McCoy hauled in 12 rebounds for the Lady Dragons.

            The Lady Dragons built a fifteen point advantage (19-4) at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. The Lady Magicians reduced the advantage in the second quarter going into halftime trailing 33-21.The second half saw the Lady Dragons maintain the work they had started in the first half with defense to build a 21 point advantage for the final 64-43 victory. Leading the Lady Magicians were Crystal Shields, and Shantiera Miller with 8 points each.

              The Lady Dragons will be back in action on Jan. 21 and 23^rd with a road trip to Tuskegee, and Birmingham, AL. with conference games against the Golden Tigeretts from Tuskegee, and the Lady Golden Bears from Miles College.
