Box Score Dragons Sweep the Magicians
 
On February 14, 2015 the Lane College Men's Basketball team defeated conference rival LeMoyne-Owen College by a score of 78-73.
 
There was a lot of love to spread around on Saturday when the Lane College's Men's Basketball team visited rival LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis Tennessee. The Dragons have struggled a bit in the first half in past games, but on Saturday night the Dragons came out firing on all cylinders. The Dragons shot 70% on 3 pointers and 100% from the free throw line in the first half. The Dragons went into the locker room finishing the first half leading 39-38.
 
When the second half started the Dragons continued to add pressure and play well. The added pressure created a total of 22 turnovers by the Magicians. Sophomore Joseph Cooper, last weeks SIAC's Player of the Week, led the Dragons in rebounds, while teammate Terrance Bridgeman, SIAC's Newcomer of the Week led in points scored with 31 points. Senior Donald Stewart dropped in17 points in Saturday's contest for the Dragons.
 
Lane College now sits tied for first place in the western division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Lane College Men's Basketball team will be back in action on February 19, 2015 to take the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm in Tuskegee Alabama. Go Dragons!
