Box Score Dragons Defeat MagiciansÂ
On February 7, 2015, the Lane College Men's basketball team defeated LeMoyne-Owen College by a score of 82-72. Saturday saw a big conference rivalry played at the Oman Arena in Jackson, TN. Both teams have had a similar season, once tied for first place in the SIAC. The Magicians came out and played with intensity. Four Magician players scored double-digits in the game. Byron Ray scored 20 points, but it was not enough to stop the Dragons from being victorious. Going into the locker room at half time, the Dragons were trailing by 10 points (43-33).

Dragons head coach
Bryanth Basemore stated that his team did not match their [Magicians] intensity in the first half. He also said that he spoke to each player individually and challenged them. He said to his team, "show me that you deserve to be here". The half time pep talk by coach Basemore encouraged the Dragons to rally against rival LeMoyne-Owen. Sophomore guard
Terrance Bridgeman had an outstanding night. He scored 31 points in Saturday's contest. According to the coaching staff, Bridgeman was only playing at about 70%, because of an injury to his ankle. "Saturday's contest was not about just one player, but a team effort. Our reserve players came in and brought a much needed spark," stated coach Basemore.
