Lady Tigers Defeat Lady Dragons

Jackson, Tenn.

The Lady Dragons (0-8) hosted the Lady Tigers (5-0) at J. F Lane. Gymnasium on Saturday for another SIAC conference game. The Lady Dragons could not seem to get started and was held to only eight points in the first ten minutes of play. In the second period, the Lady Dragons started to find some scoring, but trailed at halftime 26-19. The second half saw the Lady Tigers extend their lead over the Lady Dragons for a final score of 62-33.

The Lady Tigers collected 11 of their 37 total rebounds on offenses which led to second-chance scoring opportunities. The Lady Dragons had a tough time connecting on scoring plays as they had 19 turnovers for the game. The Lady Dragons were led in scoring by Tashara Jones with 10 points, while Deizare McCoy collected seven rebounds. Regime McCombs collected 17 points, while Dorothy Brown added 10 points to lead the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Dragons host the Lady Lions from Paine College on Dec. 7 at J. F. Lane Gymnasium with a tip-off scheduled for 5:30 PM.
