Box Score Lady Lions Defeats the Lady Dragons

The Lady Dragons (0-9) fell 82-66 to the Lady Lions from Paine College. The Lady Lions jumped out to a 6-point halftime lead (36-30) connecting on 6-of-8 free throw shots in the first half.
Tashara Jones led the Lady Dragons with 16 points, going 6-of-9 from the free throw line, while
Niya Royal had 11 points and
Kyana Johnson added 10 points.
Shadarian Beasley hauled in 10 rebounds to lead all rebounding in the game. As a team, the Lady Dragons stayed hot from the free-throw line, connecting on 13-of-23 shots (56.5%).
For the Lady Lions, Ashley Watts led all scorers with 33 points, going 3-for-5 from the 3-point line. Janisha Wilkerson added 22 points for the Lady Lions.
The Lady Dragons will return to action on Saturday Dec. 12 in a non-conference game, hosting the Lady Golden Bears from Miles College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM at J. F. Lane Gymnasium.
