Box Score For the second time in three nights, the Dragons faced the Tigers. The Dragons lost a heartbreaker in overtime against the Stillman Tigers early in the week, and fell short against the Golden Tigers from Tuskegee University 85-76. At the start of the contest, the Golden Tigers sat on top of the SIAC standings in the men's division. The Dragons were down by 13 points with 3:30 showing in the first half. Before halftime time the Dragons went on a 12-4 run to close to within five points 37-32.

The second-half action continued much like the first half with the Golden Tigers extending the lead to 19 points with 12:24 to play. The Dragons connected on 6 of 13 shots (46%) from the three-point area in the second half to try to make up the ground they had lost earlier in the half. As time expired, the Dragons had shaved off some of the lead to fall short on the evening. Jeremy Whitmore paced the Dragons in scoring with 22 points, while Jason Price added 15; Georigo Alexander and Kelsey Eubanks added 10 each to the totals.

The Dragons host Fisk University Bulldogs on January 23 with a scheduled tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
