Lady Dragons Sweep Rust College
            After a four game series in Tuscaloosa, AL with conference foe Stillman Tigers, the Lady Dragons returned home for a double header sweep against the Lady Bearcats from Rust College. The Lady Dragons put sixteen runs on the board in the first game taking the victory 16-0. In the second game of the day, the Lady Dragons outscored the Lady Bearcats 7-2 for the victory.
 In the first game, Diamond Moore led the Lady Dragons with 3 hits and 3 RBIs, including a towering shot deep into the woods behind the left field fence. Later in the game, she made an attempt to add another round-tripper to her account that drifted outside the foul lines in the left field corner. The Lady Dragons collected 10 hits in the game with Donesha Tramble and Janzze Gonzales getting two each, followed by Sequioa Dean, Lindsay Russell, and Jalissa Morgan with one hit each.
The pitching combination of Lindsay Russell and Sequoia Dean only allowed one hit for the Lady Bearcats in the five innings of play. Russell struck out four of the eleven batters she faced collecting her first victory of the season.
In the second game, the Lady Dragons collected 10 hits and scored seven runs for the victory. The pitching combination of Dean and Russell allowed 2 runs on 6 hits as Sequioa Dean picked up her first victory of the season. Lindsay Russell pounded 2 doubles against the left field fence to lead the Lady Dragons. Kayla Halliburton, and Donesha Tramble collected two hits each as Dean, Gonzales, Moore, and Morgan each added one hit.
The Lady Dragons are scheduled to host the Lady Magicians from LeMoyne-Owen College on March 10 at Muse Park. The first pitch of the game is planned for 1 p.m.
