Dragons down Golden Tigers
            For the second time in three nights, the Dragons faced the Tigers. The Dragons held on for the victory against the Stillman Tigers early in the week, while completely dominating the Golden Tigers from Tuskegee University 83-66. At the start, of the contest the Golden Tigers sat on top of the SIAC standings in the men's division. The Dragons claimed a one-point lead at the 9:42 mark of the first half 19-18 and never trailed again. The Dragons were able to sink 10 of 12 (83.3%) free throws in the first half and extended the lead to 12 points going into halftime 39-27.
            The second-half action continued much like the first half with the Dragons keeping pace to maintain a good lead throughout the second half. The Golden Tigers were unable to connect on their three point shots (5 of 21-23.8%) as they tried to close the gap. The missed shots resulted in the Dragons collecting the rebounds and more free-throw opportunities. In the second half, the Dragons' connected on 14 of 22 (63.6%) from the charity stripe to seal a big victory for the Dragons 83-66. Four Dragons collected double digit points led by Ashton Patton with 16, followed by Sha'Mar Nolen with 14, Shoquan Stevens with 12, and Nick Jones with 11.
The Dragons host Claflin University Panthers on January 31 with a scheduled tip-off of 7:30 p.m.
