Magicians Come From Behind to Defeat Dragons
            The Dragons controlled the pace and scoring of the game during the first ten minutes building a 5-point lead 18-13 with 10:48 showing on the clock. The next ten minutes belonged to the Magicians as they went on a 20 to 7 run overtaking the Dragons for a halftime lead of 33-26. Although the Dragons were able to connect on 6 of 12 (50%) free-throws, they could not get anything else to fall in the basket as they were 8 of 31 (25.8%) from the field during the first half.
            The second half started with the Magicians' Teshawn Brown draining a 3-pointer and extending the halftime lead to 10 points (36-26) with only 3 seconds removed from the clock. The lead was extended to 15 points 44-29 with 17:00 minutes left in the game. Some teams might have given up at this point, but not the Dragons. Over the course of the next four minutes, the Dragons battled back to cut the lead to 2 points 46-44. The Magicians would respond to build another 15-point advantage 67-52 with 4:42 remaining in the game. The battle would continue for the Dragons only to fall short in the 79-73 final. Tony Payne led the Dragons in scoring with 20 points, while Aston Patton and Nick Jones collected 10 each. The Dragons travel to Birmingham, AL to face the Golden Bears for a second time in just over a week for their next contest.
