Dragons Hold On to Defeat Stillman Tigers

In at least two other games this season, the Dragons' fate had been determined on a last second shot, which did not end favorably for them. This time the shot was missed and the Dragons were able to celebrate the victory. The Dragons tied the game at the 15:37 mark of the first half and never trailed again. The Dragons stretched the lead to 11 points with 2:41 remaining in the first half before the Tigers cut it to 8 points going into halftime 30-22. The Dragons connected on 13 of 22 shots for 59.1% in the first half.
The second half action was fast and furious as the Tigers came out hitting back-to-back three-point shots to close the gap quickly. Down the stretch, the Dragons were able to hit critical free throws that kept the lead throughout the second half. The Dragons connected on 17 of 29 free throws in the second half for a 60.6% performance on the night. The Tigers were led in scoring by Ladarius Rhone with 24 points, and Lee Riley adding 15. For the Dragons Anthony Collier collected a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Shoquan Stevens had 16 points while Ashton Patton added 11 for the Dragons.
