Slow Start For Dragons Is Costly
            The Dragons took to the floor of the Oman Arena as the host team to the Tigers from Benedict College. The slow start in the first half was not what was in the game plan as the Dragons went into halftime trailing the Tigers 46-24. The Dragons shot 33.3 % from the field in the first half while the Tigers connected for 54.8%. The Tigers were led by Trevor Eichelberger with 17 of his 21 total points coming in the first half of the game. The Tigers' Marcus Goode also put in 12 of his 18 total points in the first half.
            The Dragons came out to start the second half of action with a different approach. They were able to open up some shots and contain the big scorers from the first half. The up-hill battle from the first half scoring was more than the Dragons could overcome, and the Tigers took home the victory 83-60. The Dragons were led in scoring by Rafael Strayhorn with 15 points, while Tony Paine collected 12 points.  The Dragons are scheduled to host the Lions from Paine College on January 9 for their next basketball contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and will be played at Oman Arena.
