JACKSON, Tenn. — Lane College remained unbeaten in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Savannah State 85–58 inside J.F. Lane Gymnasium to improve to 3–0 on the season and 2–0 in SIAC play.
Lane controlled the game from start to finish, using a 26–14 second-quarter surge to break things open before outscoring the Tigers 23–22 in the third and 17–8 in the fourth to seal the win. The Dragons' physicality in the paint and relentless depth proved overwhelming, resulting in a 27-point separation by the final horn.

Multiple defensive stops led to transition layups, and the bench fueled a 15–4 stretch to extend the lead into double digits. Savannah State never pulled closer than 10 the rest of the way.
The third quarter featured the knockout punch — fast-break offense and elite execution at the rim. Lain, Brown and Thomas combined for 20 points in the frame, and Lane led 68–50 heading into the fourth.
