JACKSON, Tenn. (February 9, 2019) - Eighteen seconds left in the game, Lane College took its first lead of the game, but it was the only lead they needed as the knocked off their arch rival LeMoyne-Owen College in front of a sold out, packed house on Saturday, 87-83, at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.
Senior forward
Kendarius Ash hit the go-ahead bucket and nailed two free throws to seal the deal as time wound down in front of 655 in attendance. Ash finished with 10 points, one of five Dragons who finished in double figures.
Daniel Hill and
LaJustin Anderson both led the Dragons in scoring, finishing with 19 points apiece.
De'Marik Brown knocked in 14 points, while
Jamier Mix added 12 in the win.
Lane College has one final home game before heading to Birmingham to the SIAC Conference Championship Tournament. They take on Spring Hill College on Monday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. CST.Â
