Dragons pick up Dominant Win in Regular Season Finale

JACKSON, Tenn. (February 18, 2019) - Senior forward Kendarius Ash finished off the final game of his career at J.F. Lane Gymnasium with the 14th double-double of his senior season, as the Lane College men's basketball team heads to the post-season with a convincing 87-71 win over visiting Spring Hill College on Monday evening in front of a vivacious home crowd.

The Badgers kept the game relatively close in the first half until Ash's layup with just over four minutes remaining gave the Dragons an 11-point lead. The lead would never drop below double figures as Spring Hill's second-half run cut the lead to ten, but that was as close as they would get.

Ash finished with a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds while Jackson native Daniel Hill dropped in 22 points and Lucious Brown finished one rebound short of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Dragons now await the announcement of their first round appointment in the first round of the SIAC post-season tournament in Birmingham, Ala. As it stands, the Dragons would be the No. 3 seed in the West and will would take on the No. 6 seed in the East on Tuesday, February 26 at 4:45 p.m. CST. Currently, Benedict College is the No. 6 seed in the East. The game will be streamed live via FloSports.com.
