JACKSON, Tenn. (January 5, 2019) - Senior guard
Antrice McCoy caught fire at the right time Saturday afternoon, scoring 18 of her season-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the Lady Dragons overcome a seven-point deficit to knock off visiting Clark-Atlanta University, 58-50, at J.F. Lane Gymnasium in the first home game of the new year.
Lane led by a point after the first quarter but went into the locker room trailing by that same margin thanks to a buzzer beating three-pointer from the Lady Panthers. The Lady Dragons were then outscored 15-11 to start the second half before McCoy caught fire to end the game, scoring 18 of the team's 21 points over the final ten minutes. McCoy also added four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Newcomer
Addie McNeely also finished in double figures with ten points while Porshe Hannah pulled in nine rebounds and three blocks in 20 minutes of playing time.
Lane is back in action this Saturday when they head down Interstate 40 to take on SIAC rival Lemoyne-Owen College. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
