JACKSON, Tenn. (January 5, 2019) - The first time Lane College and Clark-Atlanta University met, it took an overtime period to settle the score. On Saturday, it looked as if history was going to repeat itself, but a last second layup by the Panthers prevented that outcome, as CAU knocked off the Dragons, 74-72.
Terrace Holt led the way for the Dragons with 20 points, including a game-tying three pointer with under 30 seconds to go. He also pulled in eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot. Senior forward
Kendarius Ash also finished in double figures, pulling in 19 points, six rebounds and three steals.
The Dragons are back in action this Saturday when they take on SIAC rival Lemoyne-Owen College. Game time in Memphis is set for 7:30 p.m. or 20 minutes after the completion of the women's game.
