FRANKFORT, Ky. (January 26, 2019) - After the first ten minutes, it looked like the visiting Lady Dragons were in for the fight of the night as both teams were only able to muster 11 points apiece.
But some crucial possessions in the second quarter gave Lane College a nine-point advantage heading into the break and they came out of the locker room outscoring the host Lady Thorobreds 11-5 to give themselves a comfortable final frame as they picked up the first road win of this current five-game, nearly two-week road trip, 55-41.
Senior guard
Antrice McCoy led all scorers with 26 points while both
Alexis Harris and
Chasity Moore added 10 points apiece while Moore was just one rebound short of a double-double.
The Lady Dragons are in action this Monday when they take on Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST.
