FRANKFORT, Ky. (January 26, 2019) - Twelve Lane College players made it on the scoreboard as the Dragons picked up a convincing win over host Kentucky State University, 100-81 in a game that was not near that close in the second half.
The players came out hot out of the locker room, hitting their first three, 3-pointers to take an early 12-2 lead. But the Thorobreds weathered the initial storm, cutting the lead to five at the break. A little over three minutes into the final 20 minutes, Kentucky State took a slim two point lead and kept it close for the next few minutes until, after the Thorobreds cut the lead to six with 12:09 left, the Dragons exploded on an 18-2 run to blow the game wide open with just under nine left to play.
Four Lane players finished in double-figures, led by senior guard
Terrace Holt, who finished with a season-high 30 points and, also a season-high, 12 rebounds. Holt was also a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also added five steals in the game. Senior forward
Lucious Brown dropped in 15 points, going 6-of-8 from the floor.
LaJustin Anderson added 14 points, going 50 percent from the 3-point line.
Kendarius Ash rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points, eight rebounds and a team-leading six steals.
The Dragons picked up their third straight win, the second by double figures and the first of a five-game road trip. Lane is back in action this Monday when they head to Wilberforce, Ohio to take on Central State. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. EST.    Â
