FORT VALLEY, Ga. (January 2, 2019) - After coming off a heartbreaking first conference loss of the season on the last day of 2018, the Lane College Dragons put the last year behind them in emphatic form as they cruised over the host Fort Valley State University Wildcats, 84-64 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Dragons, who finished with three in double figures, used a balanced attack of an aggressive, fast-paced offense and a ferocious, swarming defense to head to the locker room with a resounding 44-20 advantage. And although the Wildcats made a run to cut the lead to 10 with 11:34 left to play, the Dragons survived the storm and immediately responding bringing the lead back up to 20 with 7:49 left where the score hovered for the remainder of the contest.

Kendarius Ash led all Dragons with 17 points and five rebounds apiece. Ash also added four steals and three blocks while Holt had four assists and two steals. Jackson, Tenn. native and junior guard
Daniel Hill finished with 12 points in the victory.
The Dragons are back in action at 4 p.m. this Saturday when they host SIAC foe Clark-Atlanta University at J.F. Lane Gymnsium.
