Senior quarterback Marcus Reynolds connected with wide receiver Ahmad Isaac on the first offensive play of the second quarter on a wide open 74 yard touchdown pass to cut the Blue Tigers of Lincoln University of Missouri's lead to three points, 10-7 with 14:37 left to go in the first half. Unfortunately for the Dragons, tht was all the scoring either team could muster in this defensive battle, as the final score stood at 10-7.

Played at the historic Halle Stadium in Memphis in front of nearly a thousand fans, both defenses took the bend but not break approach for the majority of the final three quarters. Newcomer Christion Willett and returner Brayce McKinzie led the defense with eight total tackles apiece. McKinzie finished the game with two crucial quarterback sacks for a five-yard loss.  He also had three tackles for loss for a total of 10 yards. 

Reynolds went 6-for-18 for 65 yards and a touchdown. He also gained 74 yards on the ground in 17 attempts. Isaac only had the one completion but it was the 74-yard touchdown reception for the only Lane College score of the game.

The Dragons return to the cozy confines of Lane Field as they host SIAC rival Morehouse College at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8.
