ALBANY, Ga. (December 3, 2018) - The Lady Dragons came out of the gate hot, but struggled after halftime as the Lady Golden Rams pulled off the upset Monday afternoon in Albany, Georgia.
Lane outscored Albany State 14-5 in the first ten minutes and both teams matched each other in the second quarter, giving the Lady Dragons a nine-point lead heading into the break. But Lane went cold out of the locker room while their opponent got hot, out pacing the visiting team 20-7 in the third quarter to take their first and final lead of the game as Albany State picked up the win, 47-42.
Senior guard
Antrice McCoy led all scorers with 13 points. She added five rebounds and a steal in the loss.
Chasity Moore dropped in nine points and added eight rebounds.
The Lady Dragons continue the road trip when they travel to conference foe Fort Valley State on Wednesday evening before returning home to take on Clark-Atlanta on Saturday afternoon at J.F. Lane Gymnasium. Tip off for the game against Lady Wildcats is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST. Lane tips off at home against the Lady Panthers is set for 2 p.m. CST.
