Brazia Jones joins the Lane College Women's Basketball program as an assistant coach, bringing an impressive combination of collegiate coaching experience, player development expertise, basketball operations knowledge, and a passion for helping student-athletes achieve excellence on and off the court.
Jones arrives at Lane following three seasons as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), where she played an instrumental role in strengthening the program's competitive performance, player development, and daily basketball operations. During her tenure, the program improved from just 10 combined victories over the three seasons preceding her arrival to 26 wins during her three seasons on staff.
At UAM, Jones was actively involved in practice planning, game preparation, scouting, guard development, performance evaluation, and the coordination of daily basketball activities. Her ability to combine strategic preparation with individualized instruction helped elevate player performance and contributed to the program's overall improvement.
Her impact was reflected in the development of several standout student-athletes, including Alindsey Long, who improved her scoring average from eight to 13 points per game and earned 2025–2026 Great American Conference (GAC) All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition. Bailey Harris also earned back-to-back GAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors and finished her career among UAM's top eight all-time scorers
