Shun Brown enters his third season at Lane College. He serves as the Offensive Coordinator/ Wide Receivers and Tight Ends coach. In the previous two years at Lane Brown has produced the top Wr in HBCU two years in a row JacQuez Jones (Leading All HBCU in receiving yards 2022 &2023). Severing as the Passing Game Coordinator (2023). JacQuez Jones was named a HBCU All-American and All-Conference player twice. Also, Brown produced an all-conference returner, TJ Holland. Before he joined Lane he spent one season at the University of Louisiana-Monroe where he served as an offensive analyst under Rich Rodriguez.
He helped the Warhawks, and head coach Terry Bowden lay the foundation for a turnaround of their program after they took over a team that had gone winless the season before. ULM turned the tables in 2021, improving by four games and returning to the mix in the Sun Belt Conference.
Shun graduated from Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, La. He was named All-American as a wide receiver and defensive back while also earning All-State honors as a return specialist, defensive back, and wide receiver. Brown was named 2A Offensive Player of the Year at the conclusion of his senior season.
He played college football at University of Arizona where he started four-year starter. He left Arizona 13th in receiving yards, 11th in receptions, 12th in touchdowns scored, and second in kick returns in school history. Brown earned All-Conference honors and won the Tedy Bruschi Award in 2017. He has been a team Captain on all teams he has played on. Shun also played in the NFLPA Senior Bowl 2018.
Shun earned his bachelor's degree in education Bachelor of Science- Literacy, Learning and Leadership in 2019 after spending four seasons on the Arizona football team.Â
