Josh Lemons, a native of Memphis, Tenn., graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee at Martin with an emphasis in Communications, completing both the news editorial and the radio broadcasting sequences in 2012.
During his time as a student at UTM, he was both the editorial editor and the sports editor of the award-winning college newspaper, The Pacer, as well as sports director at WUTM-FM, 90.3 The Hawk, the 2012 winner of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s Best College Radio Station in the Nation award.
After graduation, Lemons spent four years as a journalist with the Jackson Sun, covering professional baseball, prep and college sports as well as feature writing covering religion, health and local news.
Previous to his time as a journalist, he spent over a decade in the private sector, opening two successful businesses before discovering his passion for journalism.
He is the lone son of Mary and the deceased Garry Lemons. He currently resides in Jackson, Tenn with his bulldog Phoebe.Â
