For decades, the Lane College Athletic Hall of Fame has preserved the legacy of the student-athletes, coaches, and teams who helped shape the proud tradition of Dragon athletics. Among its distinguished inductees are the 1982 Lane College Football Team, which captured the SIAC Division III Championship and established itself as one of the most accomplished teams in program history, and the late Jacoby Jones, whose electrifying career made him one of the most dynamic players in conference history. Their achievements and those of many other Hall of Fame inductees serve as lasting reminders of the excellence, leadership, and championship tradition that continue to define Lane College Athletics.

"The Lane College Athletic Hall of Fame provides us with another opportunity to recognize and celebrate the individuals who have helped shape that legacy. Their accomplishments, leadership, and dedication have left a lasting impact on Lane College, and it is an honor to recognize those who have given so much to this great institution."

Hall of Fame Induction Criteria

Nominees must have demonstrated excellence in their athletic career, profession, and community while exemplifying extraordinary commitment, leadership, and service to the advancement of Lane College.

Alumni Student-Athletes

• Must have participated in a varsity sport sanctioned by the SIAC or NCAA.

• Must be at least five years removed from collegiate eligibility.

• Must have demonstrated athletic excellence through accomplishments such as All-Conference recognition, championship participation, record-setting performances, or other notable achievements.

• Must possess high personal character and have made a positive impact following their time at Lane College.

Coaches and Administrators

• Must have served Lane College Athletics for a minimum of five years.

• Must have made significant contributions to the growth, success, and culture of the athletic department.

Professional Pinnacle Honorees

• Lane College alumni who signed professional contracts in recognized sports leagues are eligible for consideration.

The 2026 Hall of Fame class will be inducted during a special ceremony on Friday, October 30, 2026, as part of Lane College's Homecoming celebration. The ceremony will be held in J.F. Lane Gymnasium. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, August 17, 2026.
