Update from the Athletic Director's office

Dear Lane College Community,
 
Lane College is embarking on an exciting search for our next Head Football Coach. In the spirit of transparency, our Selection Committee is comprised of a diverse group, including the Athletic Director, the Associate Athletic Director, a faculty representative, a staff representative, a student representative, an alumni representative, and a current coach. This inclusive approach is designed to not only foster unity and support but also to attract a candidate who is exceptionally aligned with our values and vision for the future.
 
From over 100 applications, the Committee has narrowed the pool to 10 candidates and will proceed with interviews for the top four. Our goal is to have the ideal candidate in place, ready to lead us to success, before the 2025 Football Season. In the meantime, Tommie Lewis, serving as the Interim Head Football Coach, is primarily responsible for nurturing our students and ensuring they remain committed to Lane College. His leadership is crucial in maintaining stability and continuity within our football program.
 
Looking ahead, we envision our new Head Football Coach not only bringing a winning strategy to the field but also fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship. We believe in a future where our football program becomes a beacon of pride for the Lane College community, inspiring students, alumni, and fans alike. With the right leadership, we anticipate enhanced recruitment efforts, stronger team performance, and increased community engagement. Our sights are set on building a new level of excellence that will propel Lane College into a new era of athletic prominence and educational enrichment.
