JACKSON, Tenn. – The Lane College women's basketball team delivered a complete performance Monday evening, rolling past Central State (Ohio) 69–28 in SIAC action at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.

Lane (12–3, 11–3 SIAC) set the tone early and never looked back, holding Central State to just four points in the opening quarter before exploding for 31 points in the second period. The Dragons went into halftime with a commanding 42–12 advantage after shooting 60 percent from the floor in the second quarter and forcing numerous turnovers that fueled their transition offense.

Balanced scoring and relentless pressure highlighted the night for Lane, as 13 players found the scoring column and the Dragons finished with 36 bench points. Kameria Piggee led the way with 10 points and 10 rebounds, recording a double-double off the bench. Lauren Lain added eight points and seven rebounds, while Europe Brown chipped in seven points and five steals. Jahniya Brown and Jeurnei Wright each knocked down key three-pointers as part of Lane's 5-of-16 shooting from beyond the arc.

Defensively, Lane was stifling throughout, forcing 27 Central State turnovers and converting them into 28 points. The Dragons also controlled the glass, outrebounding the Marauders 56–23 and scoring 36 points in the paint.

Central State (4–14, 3–12 SIAC) struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting just 20.4 percent from the field and going scoreless from three-point range. Calyanna Cage and Ashyia Maddickes led the Marauders with seven points apiece.

Lane continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring Central State 19–12 in the third quarter before closing the game with an 8–4 fourth period to secure the 41-point victory.
