Local Jackson product scores twice in opener

JACKSON, Tenn. -  The Lane College football team kicked off their 2025 campaign this past weekend as local product DeMahri Wallace scored two touchdowns in the home opener.

First Half
Lincoln jumped ahead early, scoring 14 unanswered points in the first quarter, while the Dragons responded in the second quarter with a rushing touchdown from Wallace to tighten the gap before the break.

Second Half
After registering a safety in the third quarter, the most electrifying play came late in the fourth quarter when Wallace surged in for a touchdown. His effort put Lane into the lead—an unforgettable moment and a highlight for the hometown crowd.

Despite Wallace's fiery spark, Lincoln answered back with scoring themselves to reclaim and ultimately secure the lead, ending the game at 27–15 in their favor.
