Dragons set new marks at Belhaven

The Lane College Track & Field teams competed this weekend in Memphis, Tenn. at the Belhaven Complex.

Xavier Heard finished first in the shot put with a mark of 46' 10.25." Heard's mark currents ranks first in the SIAC. Victor Kiprotich set a new school record in the 800 meter race with a time of 1:58.78 and 1500 meters at 4:02.79, Kiprotich's 1500 meter mark currently ranks first in the SIAC.

For the women, Makenzie Beasley took second place in the pole vault with a mark of 6' 9". Faith Chemutai set a new school record in the 5000 meters with a time of 22:45.33.
