Bunton takes first in 100m at SIAC Championship

ROCK HILL, SC - The Lane College Track and Field teams competed in the SIAC Championship meet this past weekend and O'Joshua Bunton took first place in the 100m dash.

After taking the top qualifying position with a 10.57, Bunton blew past the field in the final heat with a time of 10.43, a full tenth of a second faster than the second place finisher.

The time qualifies Bunton for the NCAA Division II National Track and Field meet held in Allendale, Michigan May 26-28.

Bunton also placed second in the 200m dash with a time of 21.04.

On the women's side, JaeLynn Stewart took second in the shot put with a throw of 12.17m and second place in the hammer throw at 41.14m.
