Frankfort, Ky. — The Lane College volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory on Friday afternoon, outlasting Miles College in a five-set battle (11-25, 25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 15-6) at the SIAC cluster hosted in Frankfort.
After dropping the opening set 25-11, Lane regrouped and found its rhythm behind steady offensive balance and tough serving. The Dragons claimed the next two frames, 25-21 and 25-23, before Miles forced a decisive fifth set by taking the fourth, 25-21.
Lane dominated the tiebreaker, hitting an impressive .818 as a team in the final set and closing out the match with a 15-6 win.
