Marion beats buzzer as Dragons win in OT

SAVANNAH, Ga – The Dragons men's basketball team visited the Tigers of Savannah State University on Saturday afternoon.
  • The game saw 13 lead changes and 10 ties
  • No team held more than a six-point lead
  • Down two points with time running out in regulation, Tomonique Marion laid one in at the buzzer to force overtime
  • Five Dragons reached double-figures in scoring: Chancellor Wright (16), Maximillion Bell (14), Marion (12), Justin Sylver (10), Kylan Haywood (10)
  • Lane dominated around the basket, outscoring the hosts 28-10 in the paint
  • The Dragons transition defense was stout, surrendering zero fast break points
Lane will travel to South Carolina on Tuesday for a contest with Allen University. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
