HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Lane College volleyball team picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night when they traveled to Freed-Hardeman for a tri-match with the Lions and Crowley's Ridge.

After dropping a close first set to the Pioneers, the Dragons rallied to win three straight sets and take the match (23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-21).
Bre'elle Hawkins led the way for Lane, finishing with 17 kills and three aces.
Maia Thompson added 12 kills while
Jazmyne Jones had 36 assists.
Jai Scott was a spark off the bench, contributing nine kills and an ace.
Jones and Hawkins were also named to the All-Tournament Team after their performances this past weekend at the Union Classic.

Freed-Hardeman 3
Lane struggled to get going in the second match of the night, managing just a .011 attack percentage and falling in straight sets to the hosts.
Thompson was the top point getter in the game, scoring 8.5 points on seven kills, one solo block, and one block assist.
The Dragons will host their first home match of the season on Thursday night when Kentucky State comes to Jackson for a matchup of SIAC West rivals. Game time is 5:30 PM at J.F. Lane Gymnasium.
